Holiday ideas as well as spring is everywhere..This display shows the variations of ornaments simply hung of a huge tree branch It is so dramatic..
This show showed Hollywood glamor at it best..lots of
bling and shimmer. so uplifting and fun..

The Silk Touch is adding a line of jewelry to our shop.
Fun and dramtic pieces which I will preview on my next blog. With spring just around the corner, proms and weddings, Our shop will be brimming with beautiful
new silk roses, orchids, lilies, peonies ( to die for) and this lovely collection of jewelry ..as well as our new vintage collection of must have floral accents..

Autumn Pink for Breast Cancer

Channel 12 will be televising a segment from The Silk Touch to be seen on this evenings news!!! It is to promote public awareness to this devastating disease.

Thirteen years ago, I lost my twin sister to cancer. Donna was afraid of doctor visits and had no gynecological testing for many years. Her cancer would have been detected in its early stages had she gone, and quite possibly she would be alive today.

Early detection is the key…Mammograms are so important…takes little time and worth the peace of mind..If there is a problem its easier to deal with in the beginning stages. So ladies make those appointments!!!!!

The shop window is all decked out in “PINK” to show our support to women everywhere,We are offering a 10% donation of all custom orders to breast cancer research for the month of October, and also offering a drawing with a chance to win $150.00 gift certificate towards the purchase of holiday decor.

Have you ever wondered..how a silk flower is created? It is quite a process, and much of the work is still done by hand. Each petal and leaf are hand painted and configured to duplicate the delicate look of a fresh flower.

Winward Silks, is a floral supplier, of silk florals exclusively, and is my main supplier here at The Silk Touch. They have created a fabulous video displaying the artistic production of permanent florals. It is quite amazing in this day and age that so much hands on effort is still utilized in created these beautiful florals. Its not surprising how popular they are not only in home and office decor, but have also made a “showy” presence in the wedding market. There are endless varieties and colors to choose from and are all absolutely botanically correct.

Its worth a few moments to view this very enlightening video..You will be amazed at the painstaking effort that goes into creating one single stem..
